Gladstone Church

Gladstone Church is on the Masterton-Martinborough Rd, just by its junction with the Gladstone Rd which leads to the Gladstone Inn and the Gladstone Vineyard. The church was built in 1904, severely damaged by the Masterton earthquake of 1942, and rebuilt in a traditional style in 1955.

The church is well supported by the Gladstone community. At one time there were separate Presbyterian and Anglican services but more recently services have been combined and held at intervals during the year - especially at Easter and Christmas.  The schedule for the rest of 2008 is:

21 December

  5.00 pm

Christmas carols and readings

24 December

  5.00 pm

Christingle (a Christmas service especially for children)

The church is often used for weddings. These can be celebrated by a Minister or Priest of any denomination. The church seats about a hundred.
